I'm a pleasantly exhausted. The last two weekends were spent outside of Athens. Last week we were in Drama, a cozy northern city near the Bulgarian boarder, for the EEF Conference. Last night we got back from the Peloponesse, having set up 2 conferences in two cities in one day. Didnt work out so well, but now the people in charge know better (one may hope). For Christmas we'll be off to Thessaloniki for four days, which I'm really looking forward to.
This week i've learned something useful. I dont like academics, and i like artists even less. They are, as populations, arrogant, pompous, and narcissistic. This is not of course, what ive learned, becaus this has been known to me for quite some time now. What i learned is that i am lucky to know a few people on both sides of the Atlantic who are a glaring exception to this.
